Hello everyone I hope u can help me.

Since today my Firefox crashes on startup and shows the error report dialog. At first i tried starting in safe-mode -> same thing.

Then i deinstalled my firefox (also all the user specific informations) and downloaded and installed the newest version.

But the problem remains. Crash on startup.

There was a Windwos Update today so i could just assume it has to do something to do with this update because i used the Firefox just yesterday and everthing went fine. I didnt install any new addon or other program on my Laptop either.

Did you try a new profile?

The crash ID seems be be related to the Breakpad crash reporter writing data (minidump?) to a file on disk.

You can also try to delete the %APPDATA%/Mozilla/Firefox/Crash Reports folder

Hello and thanks for your reply.

Yes i also tried using a new Profile (starte with Option -P) but firefox crashes nevertheless.

I just tried deleting the folder u mentioned. But the Browser just crashes the same way and creates a new Crash Report folder after this.

What else can i try?

Helly everyone,

in the meantime i solved this problem by reinstalling my Windows.

The problem was, i had a dangerous backdoor virus on my system. Sorry i cant remember the name right now.

I suggest everyone who has this problem to seriously scan their system for any kind of malware.
