hello john, please see if a reset of firefox can address the problem: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
I have done the step of firefox reset before and the problem continued I want to mention that I am suffering from this from nearly 8 monthes up till now, during this time I have formatted and repartioned HD many times, disabled all addons removed avast, scanned my pc by lots of anti virus &spyware software and the problem has not been solved. I hope that anyone want reply to look and check the report IDs may this help in solving the problem
please try to remove those download manager addons (IDM is mentioned in on of the associated bug reports for example). your two reports also show there's quite a high memory usage on your system during the time of those crashes - this might also play a role in the crashes. it may also be a hardware problem with bad RAM...
I'm having trouble with frequent crashing as well, ie, "Problem loading page." I've used FF for years so I figured I'd better sign up for improvements, thogh I'm no techie!
Am I going to get any help with this? I'm trying to run a business from home and this problem is vexing, to say the least.
Hi mrwill
Could you please start a new thread for your question?
Then you can provide more information like your operating system and installed extensions and installed plugins.
In case of crashes also please add some recent crash IDs that you can find on the about:crashes page and that start with a "bp-" prefix
- bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.
- You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website, or open this page via "Help > Troubleshooting Information".
