Hi, I'm using Thunderbird 128.3.3esr (64-bit) on my laptop. Re msgs. that contain links, which I ought to be able to click and then access using Firefox, beginning a few days ago instead of links the messages contain odd character strings, e.g.

--_004_1C04A1984E9745B4A7771C4CE3817E28allecracom_--

and nothing else. However, if I forward these same msgs. from my Android phone (e-mail client: Fairmail) back to my e-mail acc't and then open them on my laptop, they contain the links, which I can open by clicking on them.

Why have a suddenly started getting these odd character strings in Thunderbird e-mails containing links, and how do I get the links to appear without having to go the circuitous route of forwarding e-mails from my phone?

Thx in advance to all responders.

Have you updated to Thunderbird 128.3.3esr ? I believe that version was supposed to have fixed this issue.

Yes, am using 128.3.3esr (64-bit). Followed your advise, and we'll see if the problem has been solved. (It pops up intermittently.) Thx.
