firefox developer edition flash issue
I am using firefox 41.0a2 (2015-07-08) developer edition and a lot of pages I go to are showing that I need the flash plug in. I do in fact have adobe flash installed, can it be an issue since its a 64 bit browser? I installed the developer version on a pc with windows 8 and the flash is working fine

Do you have the plugin version of Flash installed?
IE uses the ActiveX version of Flash, and Chrome uses the Pepper version. Overall 3 different versions - for Gecko, Trident , WebKit browsers.

Yes its installed as you can see from the screen shot http://screencast.com/t/pyjf9Cy1
What Firefox version (32 bit or 64 bit) do you have installed?
A 64 bit version needs a 64 bit Flash plugin and a 32 bit Firefox version a 32 bit Flash plugin. So make sure that you have the proper plugin. Note that for full plugin support you need a 32 bit Firefox version, but at least Flash should work with a 64 bit Firefox version.
This is my current version of firefox http://screencast.com/t/cnSLRU24L I dont believe adobe makes a 64 bit version for firefox only IE. Its strange since the flash works on windows 8 but no on my pc with windows 7
