I've deleted some keyword search bookmarks, yet entering the old keywords into the address bar can still cause respective searches. Funny enough, the bar doesn't even show the keyword search as a suggestion like it does with usual keyword searches. (like "Search Google: ")

Chosen solution

Did you add those keyword via the right-click context menu of the search bar > Manage Search Engines?

Setting a keyword that way is stored in the file search.sqlite in the Firefox Profile Folder

Rename search.sqlite to search.sqlite.old in the Firefox Profile Folder to remove all stored search keywords.
