can't use the alt sequences to insert a spanish accented letter in bookmark names

For example, the known sequence to insert the letter á in a word is to simultaneously press the ALT and numeric keyboard 160 keys. This doesn't work trying to use the name Solución for a Firefox bookmark. Pressing the ALT key jumps out of the bookmark creation form.
