Density in Thunderbird 91.2.0 Does Not Change Font/Icon Size

My Thunderbird program just updated to 92.2.0. The "New in Thunderbird" page just came up in my browser and it says the following:

"Whether you are using it on a large desktop monitor or a small laptop touchscreen, you may want the icons and text of the interface to be larger and more spread out or very compact. In Thunderbird 91, under View -> Density in the menu, you can select the UI density for the entire application. Three options are available: compact (small), normal(medium), and touch(large)."

However, when I try changing the "Density" setting, the only thing that happens is that more blank space is added between the lines in the menu bar. The font and icons are the same size. I'm used to this view after using Thunderbird for 2 2/1 years, so this is not a big deal; but I thought it would be nice if the font was a bit larger. I can see where the extra space would be helpful for people using touch-screen devices. However, the feature does not enlarge the font like the explanation promises.

Chosen solution

I've just checked this and I agree. It just adds extra space with the exception of the Touch which also enlarges the icons in the Folder Pane.

I've created a bug report to check whether the information is incorrect or whether the font size should increase. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1736176
