Problem is if the options don't turn on your aka

Users on Firefox Quantum, which normally only works with Web Extensions (a new type of plugin architecture), can enable support for legacy add-ins through about:config, search for extensions.legacy.enabled and set it to true.

If this doesn't work then you have to contact the Addon creator for a update to FF57.

Maybe, depends on the Developer as it is a complete re-write of code as well Mozilla has limited the access to the guts of Firefox for security.

Please see : https://www.howtogeek.com/333230/why-firefox-had-to-kill-your-favorite-extension/ follow up with the links at page bottom as are tracking addon's being worked on. Try : https://mozilla.github.io/extension-finder/

This version offers the Multiprocessor support and 58 will have Mukt-Thread support.

It can offer to look differently how ever you decide. https://www.howtogeek.com/333110/how-to-customize-firefox-quantum-and-remove-the-white-space-around-the-title-bar/ Here's a more comprehensive project which affects not only tabs but brings back the old "grid-style" options menu. https://github.com/axydavid/FirefoxUI/blob/master/README.md

It isn't completely possible to use the Australis design with Firefox 57, but depending on what you want, you might be able to customize the UI to look more like the old one: This project: https://github.com/wilfredwee/photon-australis lets you have the old tab bar appearance back in Firefox 57. You can remove the space around the address bar by right-clicking on the spaces, and choosing "remove from toolbar". Note the Black Theme is just a Example and can be found in Customize.

The mysteries of the upgrade. All I can say is lucky you have your bookmarks at all. If Open Bookmarks, Show all Bookmarks, Views then you have options to Sort if choose that or you will have to put them all back in place where you want them your self.

Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 and below is no longer safe to use for every day use do to secuity issues, but 52.5.0 ESR is. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

So i did as you said and now Addons do appear under "Extensions" but they have a Yellow "legacy" marker near them and the y still are disabled with no visible option to enable them

ok ok im trying not to be rude here but i honestly dont care how FF looks like as long as it functioning how i want it to! Now about addons... i dont see them as the ones been worked on, nor do i see a worth replacemnt. Bookmarks... I had them all together! where did all this folders came from? one folder i can understand but not three new folders! Also what is up with Pocket? I don't remember installing it

How Firefox looks could be how you like it and that is functioning so the information was provided. This was provided due to this comment :

cause this one doesnt offer me anything

Is stated, no idea, mystery of upgrades re bookmarks.

I have provided you with information on addon's except you can Go to the Developers page of the add-on. Mozilla has nothing to do with addon's except approve Developers creations for use with Firefox and provides them with a page for distribution. The Developer has Support and Contact Info on their page.

Also info was provided for finding a replacement Extension for your add-on. As was info to go back so you could use your add-on's.

As well you requested that information.
If not i would like to revert to a previous version of FF

As for Pocket it has been in Firefox for many versions now. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/save-web-pages-later-pocket-firefox . https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/remove-pocket-button-firefox

It did not come off as rude but something different.

Support Volunteers can't make changes to Firefox , but we can help you with troubleshooting your question. Web Extensions are evolving and many of them are changing to be compatible with the new Firefox 57. Listen your answer was informative, thank you. But im still at an impasse here thats why need further assistance.

You mentioned i can put my bookmarks, that were divided into several folders for some unknown reason, where ever i want... Explain further how should i do it. I also noticed that some of my bookmarks are gone but i wont be sure until i combine all the bookmarks from all 3 folders.

I also noticed that FF is now using a whole lot more RAM. Which is a big "No No" for me. Is this how FF will work now? Copying Chrome much? Or its there a way to lower the usage of ram ?

To lower ram usage : Go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Help ? --> Troubleshooting Information Page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there. if yes, go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser. Restart Firefox

If that does not work still something else to try.

Bookmarks.

No idea how they got into folders. Is the 1st time I heard that one. Usually they are missing.

Only way is to open Bookmarks and start dragging them out as to how you like them, 1 at a time.

Now would be a good chance to think about how you order your bookmarks as making more Folders and dragging related items to them like a Filing cabinet would possibly make things go quicker.

There is no easy fix for the mess that happened and sorry that that will have created work and a mess. But as mentioned it may end up being worth while in the end.

If get them to new Subject Folders then use Open Bookmarks, Show all Bookmarks, Open a Folder then click on a bookmark then Views then you have 8 options to Sort.

A bookmark add-on/Extension can be found here https://mozilla.github.io/extension-finder/ I just typed bookmark and 2 came up if you used one prior enter that name into the URL.

If enable Bookmark Tool Bar (mouse to any top plank are of browser, right click tick Enable Bookmark Toolbar, There will also be a Folderin Bookmarks called this.) then under the Address Bar becomes active, you can drag bookmarks to there and create folders and fill them, once is full it runs into over load and a 2 arrow menu comes out and more will run down the side. I use this option myself for all my go to places that do not stay in history.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
