Hi Ricco, Thank you for your question. This is strange, and I would recommend clearing the cache for ebay, trying Safe Mode Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode and scanning for malware.

The addon for cleaning redirects: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire.../redirect-cleaner/

Did this help?

HI redflame44, This could be a corrupt cache, sometimes I have to do this for the support forum url. I will go into about:permissions and search for the site and click "forget this site". However if this is happening for more than one site and is only happening from links in a third party email app try this: "Go to "Control Panel", select "Programs", select "Default Programs" and select "Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program". When the list of file extensions appears scroll to the end of the list to "Protocols" and change the FTP, HTTP and HTTPS protocols from Internet Explorer to Firefox or what ever browser you are using or want."

hi.... well the problem with the yahoo page went away but every time i have a link in an email.... even yours.... it goes to the firefox but nothing happens... i have to click the link at least 3 times before it launches the page... earlier you referred to "control panel".... where do i find that?

thanks,

Ricco

Control panel is on a windows machine, and this will not be useful to a mac user. My mistake. Make Firefox your default browser

Hi redflame44, I understand that you are trying to figure out why links in Mac Mail do not open links in Firefox.

If you hover over a link in the mail there is a drop down arrow for a preview. There is a button on the top right of that preview window that offers to open the url in the default browser of the computer. I have attached a screenshot.

The other option is if Firefox is already open if you right click on the url there are options to open the link, does this open the link?

hi Rachel.... no... it doesn't i've attached a screen grab of your link.... if i click on it... it sends me to firefox... but the page does not open..... and if i right click the link i get these options (attached) but again.... it opens firefox but not the page. if i quit out of firefox and then hit the link it does open up the page.

aaaagggghhhhh so frustrating!!
