Receiving when might be harmful messages claiming to be from Mozilla Firefox
Firefox as my default browser. Three days ago I got three pop-up messages claiming to be from Mozilla Firefox with the logo in the top left corner and the words Mozilla Firefox. All three contained various warnings: – Virus detected! – Alert! – You could be infected! Then they each said to "click here to resolve." And an address of some type which was a long string of random letters and the words merge network protocol. I did not click on any of these, nor did I click the "dismiss" bar that they had. I did try the X in the top right corner of each pop-up but they did disappear for one second and were replaced by another warning of some type. These pop-ups are on the right side of the page and block information that I need. They don't go away and stay with me no matter where else I go. Turning off the computer and restarting allows me to travel the Internet without the pop-ups, but as soon as I signed into Firefox they reappear. I don't believe that they are from Mozilla and though I have reported use of their trademark to them, I have not received any reply. I'm desperate to get rid of these. Can someone help?

It's good you didn't click on them. Try running a malware scan with a trusted tool like Malwarebytes. Also, clearing your browser’s cache and cookies, as well as disabling any suspicious extensions, might help
Were these small popups on the bottom right corner of Firefox windows? if so then they may just be web push notifications from sites you have allowed to send you notifications. Unfortunately they can be junk spam or fake virus alerts instead of useful information. You can revoke these sites from sending you notifications.

Thanks for your reply, but I must not have explained it correctly. These pop-ups that I receive are not small – they are each 3 or more inches high by 2 or more inches wide, they form a stack at least 9 inches high and sit on my screen on the right side, obliterating anything underneath. They are sent from somewhere, claiming to be Mozilla Firefox, with the Firefox logo in the top left corner. They are not trying to sell anything, they are all warnings of some kind of dire consequence if I don't click on a certain address in their message. I need to get rid of them and don't know how, because as soon as I open the Firefox browser they appear, and then they fall me to every other site I go to. Mozilla has not responded to my message to them. If you can suggest anything that might help, I would really appreciate it.
If those small popups on bottom right corner look like this example from the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/push-notifications-firefox kb article then they are web push notifications.
See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/push-notifications-firefox#w_how-do-i-revoke-web-push-permissions-for-a-specific-site on how to revoke the sites sending them.
Otherwise a screen shot of what you are seeing may help if it is by chance not web push notifications. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-create-screenshot-my-problem

Mozilla has not responded to my message to them.Mozilla does not have any direct support by phone, chat or email for the free to use Firefox web browsers. They do have direct ticket support here for their subscription products like Mozilla VPN.
