Dear support-team,

Unfortunately I can't open a chat account for Twitter in your actual Thunderbird v68.10.0 (x86 and x64). I don't know what could be the reason, because on your support help pages the wizard window shows "twitter" as one of four options, in my actual release twitter is not available, but Odnoklassniki as chat account instead. I couldn't find any related information about this so I'm not sure if this is a singular problem or a general problem for other users too. In the chat account wizard I have only four options: - Google Talk - IRC - Odnoklassniki - XMPP

Can you please check? Attached a screenshot of my Chat account wizard for better understanding of the problem

Thank you for your support

Rgds, Markos

Chosen solution

Twitter made changes to its APIs, which rendered Twitter chat unusable in Tbird, so that feature was removed. The support help pages haven't been updated yet to reflect this.

The only way I can open twitter links now is by right clicking on them and copy/paste the URL into my browser. So, why don't you at least fix it so that the twitter links open in the default browsers, like every other link, instead of blocking them?
