I have been playing Scrabble on Facebook for a while but suddenly it just blinks and doesn't open. It does open if I switch to Google Chrome.

The purpose of testing in a new profile is to see whether some custom settings or add-ons may be causing the problem in your regular profile, if they do not occur in the new profile. It sounds as though you have ruled out custom settings and add-ons as the potential culprit and it's either Firefox itself or something else on your system or something on the server cause those server scripts to fail.
