My firefox start up page has been deleted and i can't find a similar page

I was getting a norton security issue fixed and not only did they disable my internet they installed a norton page as my start up page on firefox. I want the old page back, but I can't find it.

That was nice of them. I have Norton Security myself.

So what was the url of your old homepage ? Once find it from the Firefox Tool Bar or Menu Bar Tools --> Options (or from the far right 3 bar Menu click Options)

So find your page and change it right there as will open in front of you from Options.

If you have Norton extensions then check its settings.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
