Does opening a separate window protect sensitive info from being shared?
Hi! I hope I explain this right...here goes: I always have Firefox open with some nature cams on. When I want to do any other 'stuff' I open a brand new window & then go to sites to do online purchases, medical info, financial stuff etc...you know, personal things I want to keep private from strangers. Is this the right way to do this? I mean, when I have 2 separate FF windows open, can the sites "see" each other...see I told you I couldn't explain this right! Hope I made sense...please advise me. Thanks in advance for your help! Nuts4Mutts :)

Yes. Some websites even open a separate window for a "transaction", once the user logs in to the website and selects what they want to do at the website. i.e., pay a car insurance bill Then the website automatically closes that window after the payment process is complete and the user either prints their receipt or clicks Done.
You could also open a new Private Window yourself, so that no record of the purchase is cached in Firefox.

Thanks for verifying! I know we have to be SO careful nowadays because of so many evil people out there. Glad I've been doing it the right way, though! Thanks a bunch!
