First, give your cat a fluffy mouse to play with.

Is the problem with the whole screen, or is the problem just in the Firefox window? <Control> 0 (zero)

LOL. Once I saw the control zero in the reply that fixed it right up. Thanks a bunch! Oh and cat has so many toys it hides them all over the house. Thanks again! Sarge
