My computer crashed & I am restoring my Thunderbird email from my recovered harddrive, how do I re-establish my old emails (saved emails & accounts)? I have found 2 folders (one under local & another under roaming) that seem to contain my email stuff. How in Thunderbird do I configure it to once again access my old emails/folders? Also, I have three accounts/Emails setup in my old email. thanks! - Erwin

Solution choisie

Create a new profile and copy the old one over it. See this article for instructions. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_profile_folder_-_Thunderbird#Create_a_new_profile_and_copy_the_old_one_over_it

Your old profile is located under 'roaming'. For Thunderbird there is nothing you need to restore from 'local'.
