How does FF Update Work?
One would say FF does this . But I'm getting conflicting information.
Secunia says all my programs are up to date. Only 10 minutes ago I downloaded Glary Utilities. The updater detects a FF update ( see screenshot)
Meanwhile "about FireFox" says I have version 35.0 EU, euballot - 1.1. Firefox is being updated by another instance (Glary?)
So how does this work?.
Thanks.

The "update" being detected is a beta update, which you shouldn't use unless you are comfortable using Beta software. You should ignore it. Usually "updater" utilities are mostly useless because they give false information like this to users.
The current Release is Firefox 35.0 as there is no updates currently.
The version the software is suggesting to download is not a update but the current Beta test build of 36.0 (36.0b2). There is two builds so far and can see six to twelve builds with nine being average for number of builds for a version on Beta channel.

Ah. I figured as much. The beta word was the giveaway
