I didn't receive new mails anymore, so I made a new account with the same name. This new account received all new mails, but I could not have 2 accounts with the same name. I had to remove one, and I did so ( Accountacties, verwijderen account ) The first account (that stuck on receiving mails on 24-09-19 ) was removed, I had no choice between the 2 accounts, and with the removal, the total history has disappeared too. ( Inbox, sent items etc ) please help, there are some very important mails in it

Thanks, Matt, for your reaction,

The problem has been solved with the help of my son. The old mail account was a pop3 - one and the new one was a pop - one. I had to go to "opties/accountinstellingen / serverinstellingen " At the bottom of this page there is a link to a place on the computer, you can go there by "bladeren" It showed a folder called "Mail" and I had to make a copy first to a safe place ( D-drive ) I opened the folder and in it there were several folders : one was pop.xxx and an other was pop3.xxx I had to choose the pop3.xxx folder and the lost mail started coming in.

So this made my day, although I still have no idea why the mail stopped coming in in the first place.

You did have a choice... You could have changed the name in the dialog box the cursor was blinking in and clicked the ok button. But it is to late now, you deleted it.

Was the old account IMAP or pop? What is the new account you added, IMAP or POP?
