Mainly when I delete unread messages from the inbox, later when i look in the trash folder the message will be in trash twice? Is also happens with read messages but not as frequently.

Additionally, when composing an email, after sending i will have the email listed in drafts multiple times?

RE: Multiple Drafts

This sounds like you are saving 'Draft' copies to the 'Draft' folder on the server and not the 'Draft' folder in Local Folders.

I would guess that as you compose the email, a draft copy is saved maybe more than once before the folder synchronized, so saving more than one copy.

Is it possible that there is a rogue draft email which you can see via webmail but not via Thunderbird. Test this by deleting all the draft emails via Thunderbird and right click on Draft' folder and select 'compact'. Then log on to webmail, check the Draft folder to see if it really is empty.

Another option: If you do not need to keep a copy on the server, then I suggest you use the 'Draft' folder in Local Folders. Set this up here:

  • Tools > Account Settings > Copies & Folders for the account
  • Under Drafts
  • select 'Other' and 'Drafts on Local Folder'
  • click on OK
