I tried 3 times to install the latest update and its still crashing with Firefox 13.0.1. I had to go back to the 10.3 in Adobe. Does anyone know if there are any more updates planned to fix this or anything else I can do? Very frustrating.When I did get the update to work it slowed everything down and nothing was working right. So far no problems with the Adobe 10.3.

No need to reset Firefox if Flash 10.3 is working. For more information on the problem with the latest Flash update and other workarounds, see:

Thanks. I'll just stay with the Adobe 10.3 for awhile. The workarounds are a bit to complicated for me. Hopefully Firefox or Adobe can figure out a way to resolve this.

I have this problem too. I am trying to organize my pics on Photobucket but it remains blank. It asked me once to download Adobe Flash. I did a number of times but no go. Oddly enough it is working when I use Explorer

Did you install the correct version of Flash?

IE uses the ActiveX version, where Firefox needs the Plugin version. The Control Panel > Add / Remove programs should show both versions of Flash - ActiveX and Plugin.

This is the Solution that I found, thing is Adobe added something called "Protection Mode" to Flash in 11.3 and you need to disable it and all is well.

To do that you need to restart your pc so you know flash is turned off other wise you can't modify the config files for it.

For 32bit users:

C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg

For 64bit users:

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg

In both cases all you need to do is add:

ProtectedMode=0

To the next line in the file and save it.

Worked for me, and I had been searching for weeks, if it works for you please do what you can to spread the word!
