Firefox will not work on the iPad & there are no plans to make a version of Firefox for the iPad.

I figured out a compromise that worked. I downloaded the Firefox app for iphone on my ipad 2, then synced Firefox with my laptop. Voila, now I have all of my Firefox bookmarks, which is a lifesaver.
