In certain websites, I don't have the option to view something. I have to save the file and then look it up.

An example is my bicycle club website. When I click on "View", instead of being able to view the item, I can only save it. On IE I can view it as well as save it. Is there a setting I have to change or is this a virus protection feature?

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

I'm not registered so I probably can't see the problem content... What is it you are trying to view? If it is an executable file, then Firefox will not give the "Open" option. That is a safety feature. However, most web site content is not executable, so it could be a problem with the way the site is coded (it is not informing Firefox in the usual manner of the nature of the content).

You can use this extension to open such a file in Firefox if it is an HTML file or a text file.

Hi,

I emailed our bike club's web person and she told me that I had to go to Tool, Options, and then choose the action next to Adobe Acrobat Reader and choose Allow open. It worked. Hope this helps you in the future.
