Good day!

When I recently upgraded from version 78.14.0 to version 91.1.2, I noticed the screen flashes whenever I move my mouse or use the scroll bar (when reading a message).

This behavior only happens when using Thunderbird, the problem does not exist when using other software on my system.

This behavior never occurred prior to version 91.1.2

I recently upgraded to version 91.2.0 in hopes the problem would be resolved, it was not.

The screen flashing is extremely bothersome and annoying, perhaps I should downgrade back to version 78.14.0?

Thoughts?

Thank you kindly,

Alex

Does the same thing happen in safe/troubleshoot mode (hold Shift when launching TB)? Is hardware acceleration enabled in Preferences/General/Indexing?

Turning hardware acceleration on/off had no effect on the problem.

Using troubleshoot mode helped considerably, but the problem was still evident, just not nearly as bad.

I downgraded to version 78.14, the install went fine, but I discovered a problem with setting up an account .....

As someone who is visually impaired, my screen is set to be larger than typical users. When trying to add an account (to version 78.14), I was never able to get to the lower right portion of the dialogue window to click on "OK" or "Cancel" or whatever happens to be down there. Since that particular dialogue window cannot be resized (or "Maximized") so I can see everything, it appears I will never be able to add an account.

Oh well, so much for being able to use Thunderbird anymore ..... a sad day indeed ...

I have the same problem too... started a couple of weeks ago. Very annoying... screen flickers when I move an email to a folder, or delete an email... almost an action on my part makes it occur. I'm using Win 7 Ultimate 64bit HP Pavilion dv6 laptop Interstingly though is that I have 4 different email accounts and it only occurs on one... my gmail account. Please help me as it is extremely annoying... Any thoughts, anyone?
