Some videos on a few different sites, including YouTube and Facebook, are coming up with this message "Sorry, we're having trouble playing this video." The same videos play on Chromium and Midori, and also on my phone. So it is just something in Firefox on my computer. I have tried all the fixes I can find. I am hoping someone out there knows one I haven't yet found.

Is the problem with H.264/MP4 videos? I have a copy of Google's old test page here: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/sumo/html5-video.html

Firefox uses FFmpeg to play patented codecs like MP4. Can you double-check that you have the FFmpeg package installed on your distribution?

Thanks, the test just says "probably" the MP4/H264 and for WebM in the Test Result (canPlayType). But says supported for both in Test Result (isTypeSupported).

I didn't have the FFmpeg package. I have installed it and updated it. Restarted firefox. But the videos are still not working? Do you have anymore ideas?

Maybe also check the libavcodec packages.

You can check the Web Console for media related messages.
