When I use some websites I get an error when I try to print because they bring up a print preview page and Firefox does let it happen.

When I try to print a recipe from some websites, I get an error "Print Preview Error" There was an unexpected problem while printing.

Example is http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/crepes-recipe-1911037

This problkem does not exist when I use Safari for the same task.

I think Firefox is preventing the print preview page from coming up. I tried to use the instructions for Reset all Firefox printer settings but I think that are for windows users because they do not work for MacOS 19.12.5

We have seen this issue been reported before, but that was on the Lithium based forum. At the moment we have returned to the previously used MediaWiki based forum.

There seems to be a problem with some media detecting script.

Does it work for you if you (temporarily) set the Shockwave Flash plugin to "Never Activate"?

  • "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins

I hadn't tried this before, but it currently works for me, so maybe this works for you as well.

EDIT: blocking the Flash plugin in "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions" works for me as well.

I do not have Flash installed. The only plugins I have installed are: AdobePDFViewer.plugin AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin JavaAppletPlugin.plugin npDDRia.plugin PMCADownloader.plugin Quartz Composer.webplugin

Try to set all plugins to never activate.

You appear to be using Firefox 53 and in this version only Flash and possibly Silverlight could be enabled.
