You can try to uninstall all extensions and install them one at the time to see if you can identify a culprit.

i tried to install them one by one but as soon as i leave safe mode (even without any extensions visible) the problem is back.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Appearance. Then select Default.

Now restart Firefox.

in safe mode all is fine!

switching off hardware acceleration in normal mode does not help. neither is disabling all add-ons manually.

there are no themes besides the default one installed.

Try to uninstall all extensions that can block content as a start.

I am experiencing the same thing. This is a business website with a new portal. I use it all the time. I could press login using IE and I could enter a new login in Safe Mode. Once I disabled each add-on, the login button still will not work.

I have Adblock Plus and HTTPS Everywhere, but I also disabled WOT, Element Helper, FEBE, & the FF Hotfix - none which causes conflicts. Cache and cookies were cleared. As you can imagine, I don't know what else to try.

I forgot where to find Hardware Acceleration. I did all - appearance was already default.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

Type about:support in the address bar and press Enter. Under the main banner, press the button; Copy Text To Clipboard.. Then in the reply box at the bottom of this page, do a right click in the box and select Paste. This will show us your system details. No Personal Information Is Collected.

On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Set everything to Never.

Type chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/extensions.xul? <enter> in the address bar. Now disable everything. Restart Firefox.

The only thing visible when I enter that link is DEFAULT FF.

 There is nothing to disable.
    I mentioned that earlier when you wanted me to reset the theme.

 I could depress the button, but it wouldn't offer a drop-down window to enter my login.  It wouldn't depress last time.  You got closer.
