Running Thunderbird 31.7.0 on Ubuntu 15.04...

When trying to launch thunderbird with the command line argument "-offline", it does not appear to work. Thunderbird will check for email and the "Work Offline" option under File-> Offline will not be checked.

Do you have a link to any documentation that describes a command line "-offline" argument? I'm not familiar with it and a brief look at the mozillazine articles about command line switches haven't thrown this one up.

I've been looking through the source code off and on for a couple days, but I'm still quite confused by the structure and haven't come to a conclusion as to wither this is a bug or the feature was never implemented.
