Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Try to "disable the hardware acceleration" in the Flash Player.

Flash "Display settings" window:
Hate to burst a few bubbles (get what I did there). All of our computers are starting to show staggared graphics. I did a few checks and looking at task manager on mine it will run, albeit slow but with a centrino2 the flash is running the CPU at approximately 55% on te BW startup screen. It continues to hog the CPU's without further interaction from myself. On my Wifes' poor wee Dell Inspiron, it immediately hogs 100% of the CPU. This is the part that causes most grief as she cannot play her Facebook Flash Games at ALL - ergo, It's MY Fault, ergo, I need to buy a new sofa as this one is crap to sleep on. Tried Chrome on her M/c and although not 100 % it is still running the same scenario about 80-85% CPU. I think the problem therefore lies somewhere between Flash, Windows and the implementation used by Facebook Games as other Flash Games(non-Facebook) seem to be working, as does YouTube Vids.
