This Connection is Untrusted

more options

Hello

The https part of my website is giving the "This Connection is Untrusted" message and saying "this site's identity can't be verified". It works just fine in Chrome and appears to be a firefox problem.

I have spoken with my host who have confirmed absolutely the SSL is installed correctly. (I have the transcript of the live chat if needs be!)

Chrome provides the message "www.landlordsguild.com The identity of this website has been verified by AlphaSSL CA - G2."

I don't want to "accept the risks" because I'm loosing paying customers through this and would rather fix the problem than bypass.

Any thoughts?

Adrian

I did a little looking around and see that other people with this issue on their site solved it by installing "intermediate root CA certificates". Near the bottom of this Alpha SSL page they mention intermediate certificates http://www.alphassl.com/support/install-root-certificate.html

Have you installed that?

Hello

That was incredibly helpful thank you. It seems the 123-reg instructions are incorrect and link to the wrong root CA certificate.

Installing the root you mentioned above has fixed the problem.

Many, many thanks indeed.
