Since updating to FireFox 9.1 everytime I open my browser, not only is my persona gone but I also get the "Hooray! Your FireFox is up to date" page. How do I fix these things?

Everytime I close my browser and have to restart it, not only do I lose the Persona I was using, but I also get the welcome to Mozilla page in a tab along with my homepage. It is getting quite annoying.

Hi tabyjo,

You should look at this article about that specific issue and the article Preferences not saved. It might be a pref.js issue. These should give you all the information you need!

If that doesn't work:

  1. Type about:config in the address bar
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise if prompted
  3. In the Filter input field type startup
  4. Double click on startup.homepage_override_url
  5. Delete the text string and click OK
  6. Close Firefox and reopen the window to verify that it has worked.
