I have a memory leakage problem with 8. I was reading something about how to set predetermend memory thresholds using an incrumental gian based on how much memory you actually have. My question is how do I get back to where you can set those limits.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thanks cor-el, I will try that just one thing, after I am done with safe mode and want to go back to the way things were, extensions, bookmark, etc. how do I do that? Its not that simple is it, A little more work to put it back the way it was correct?

I wanted to add I have noticed I have virtually the same setup as far as programs and browsers etc on my Dell note book as I do on my Compaq PC primary difference being the dual core 1.3 GHz processor and only 2 g of ram on the Note book. The Compaq PC has a standard 2.3 GHz processor but 4 g of ram. I am not have the memory bleed on the Dell. In fact I have it loaded up with extensions and plugins and it doesn't have the memory leakage at all. The Compaq PC is running 8.0.1 Fire fox and the Dell is running 8.0.0 Fire fox Could that be the difference you think ????????????? I am going to try to com[pare them side side by

side and see what other difference there are.
