Nice try Google. Chrome is not the answer. Recently upgraded Foxit. Disabled the plug in (FF 12); restored all function to Hotmail.

Disabling Foxit plugin seems to be only a short term answer, working links in hotmail is now intermittent, still doesn't work sometimes.. personally I think it is microsoft playing silly buggers with a competitor and messing us up...

Just an FYI. The Foxit folks are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. For now running an older version is your best bet.

Sadly you have lost my use of Firefox as my ONLY Browser, I use Hotmail many times daily and this inability to open messages in Hotmail is a real pain!.. I have now installed Internet Explorer which I really detest, Firefox is far superior BUT I will no longer use it because it is impossible to do the things I need to do.. GOODBYE FIREFOX!!

@majoreyeswater - have you read the findings of other users in this thread? most of them have identified the foxit plugin as causing this problem. disable it in firefox > addons > plugins & the hotmail messages should open up fine again!

Thanks for the advice, I checked and I don't have any "Foxit" Plugins? So that didn't solve the problem, It is probably MicroCrap doing it deliberately to get people back to Internet Explorer? They succeded with me! Cheers.. John ;)

FOXIT disabled worked for me too.. I did safe mode first.. than cleared cache and cookies (well all the "clear" options). both tests I had the same problem .. why if safemode disables all addons themes and plugins, would it have not worked in safemode?

Safe mode only disables extensions and not plugins, so the Foxit plugin is still enabled in Safe mode.
