before, when I typed a letter in url address, the websites whome I met where showed but now they dont

I have deleted cookies yesterday and I have visited some websites today. when I type the same websites name that I visited today in new tap the name of that website not load in url address bar. I set the privacy that firefox will remember history but it dose not work.
