I just updated the version of my browser, so how come websites such as AOL and YouTube still tell me that my version is outdated and I need to upgrade?

YouTube puts a popup at the top of the screen saying "Your browser is no longer supported. Please upgrade to a modern browser." This happens although videos play perfectly for me on YouTube. AOL Lifestream gave me the same error message. How come this happens? How do I fix it?

Your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by another program that you installed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent

type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Filter = general.useragent.extra.firefox
Right-click that preference and select Reset
Then restart Firefox

You need to reset your user agent string (identifies the version of Firefox in use), for details on how to do that see the How to reset the default user agent on Firefox article.

Got it. Thanks for being quick with it.
