I have firefox version 3.6.3, however when I go to download some addons Firefox says I have 3.0.8 and won't let me download some addons. Here is a picture: http://i50.tinypic.com/10p9hea.jpg

Also when filling out this question it says I have Firefox version 3.0.8 when the Help -> About page says I have 3.6.3. I have tried upgrading again and I get the same problem.

I also have random crashes, sometimes it crashes before the firefox window appears when I open Firefox. I have done many virus scans with different virus scanners and I have realtime protection.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

被選擇的解決方法

You might have inadvertently changed your user-agent to 3.0.8, causing websites like add-ons and this one to think you're still on 3.0.8.

The easiest way to fix this would be start up Firefox in Safe mode and reset all user preferences. That should fix the issue. If not, please feel free to give us some more information, in particular what extensions you have installed already.

Check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page. You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website. Filter: general.useragent If any general.useragent prefs are bold (user set) then right-click that pref and choose Reset.
