We have some error on oracle support sites, when uploading files. Oracle support guess a error affected by Firefox behind a Proxy/Firewall. With InternetExplorer behind Proxy/FW it works fine! Also with Firefox at home with no proxy it works! We tried different Firefox versions from 3.0.11 till 3.6.3 but no one works. We also tried different configurations and of course tried it with no config expecting proxy.

Has one any ideas? Thanks!

Hello Metzger.

If this issue is replicated across different computers, and if with new Firefox profiles (managing profiles), then it's probably a Firefox bug. I recommend you see if has been file already at bugzilla, and if it hasn't been, you can file it yourself. Don't forget to provide as much and as detailed information as possible, so the developers can work faster on the issue.

If this issue is not replicated in a new Firefox profile, then that's a different story. Tell me if that's the case, and we'll look into it.

Your plugins list shows outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks.

# Shockwave Flash 10.0 r22
# Java Plug-in 1.6.0_07 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)

Update the Java and Flash plugin to the latest version. See: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp#jdk (you need JRE) http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Hello,

thanks for your answers.

Yes, the problem occurs also in "clean" new profiles.

We know, that there are some outdated plugins and we also wish to update them soon, but often we have dependencies with our Intranet, third party web-applications, ...

Do you have any ideas, how to ensure that this is really an FF bug. I mean, I have tried in different ways and only FF + proxy does'nt work. But of course it could also be a proxy problem I think. And I think latest when I create the bug, deleopers will need more information of what's getting wrong.

Can I check the communication between FF an the site with some kind of plugin? Be aware I'm a web noob! ;)

Thanks!

Starting Firefox in safe mode to disable all add-ons (extensions, themes and plugins), just for diagnostic purposes, will tell you if your plugins are causing issues, I believe.
