Firefox causing cable modem/router to crash
I have read on different sites that other people over the years have had issues with Firefox causing router/modem problems. One case was related to Amazon, another case to Home Depot, but in my case it is caused on the initial start of Firefox after a boot. Once the router/modem is reset, we can restart Firefox multiple times each day and it never causes a problem again. In our case, it is caused by the home page (aolmail.com). I have read all the solutions that I have found and the only thing that appears to work for us is to start Firefox in Troubleshooting Mode. Then we are fine with no further modem/router hang ups. Any suggestions as to what to try to resolve this issue. It's on my Wife's computer and if she ain't happy, no one else is. Thanks.

I have continue to work through this problem on my end and I have found that the problem happens regardless of what browser I use. So the problem is not a Firefox issue. Therefore I am going to close this posting. Thanks for looking.

I was wrong in the above post it will not start on the first attempt without crashing the modem/router if Firefox is in troubleshooting mode. This appears to have no effect. What I have learned is that if I start it the first time connected through an ethernet cable as opposed to wireless, it does not fail. Unfortunately there is no way to get an ethernet cable to where my wife works. So it appears to be a wireless issue and only on aolmail.com. Sorry for the earlier misinformation.
