Cannot see Amazon Affiliate Adverts

more options

Hi Guys,

Recently, I found that my Amazon affiliate adverts don't show up on the PC screen when using Firefox browser. There is no problem with Chrome, Safari or Firefox browsers on iPhone or iPad and no problems with Chrome browser on PC. Only Firefox browser on PC screen does not show the adverts. You can check it at https://drepeternews.com/support.php with different browsers on your PC. Also do check the source code page and you will see the advert links are there. Please let me know whether you can see the adverts on your PC Firefox as that may indicate whether it is an Amazon or a Firefox or my PC issue.

This issue is with links to images and with <iframes> and only occurs on my laptops running Windows 8.10 and Windows 10.00. I have enable 3rd party cookies

Any idea how to fix this. All help is very welcome.

Thanks, Peter

Hi TyDraniu,

I may have solved it. I have a Duck Duck Go Add-ons on my Firefox (& also in my Chrome web browser) but in Firefox it was blocking the Amazon Affiliate Adverts. When I disabled the Duck Duck Go Add-ons the advertisements on the page did appeared right away.

Interesting that Chrome still shows the Amazon Affiliate adverts but Firefox does not. That was probably the reason I never checked if Duck Duck Go Add-ons was blocking the adverts from showing.

Thanks for your help or else I would not have checked the Add-ons.

Best Regards, Peter

Hi, can you click the Shield icon in the URL bar and turn off the Enhanced tracking protection for that site?

Hi TyDraniu,

Thanks for your reply. I don't know what the 'Shield icon' is. But I clicked on the 'book like' icon on the URL line and could see the adverts. When I clicked it back the adverts disappeared.

What should I do next?

Thanks, Peter

Hi TyDraniu,

I found Enhanced Tracking under Settings at the top but I cannot enter any website URL's. Please see uploaded screen shot.

Hi TyDraniu,

I saw a 'shield type' icon at the top next to the bookmark icon but it is for 'Pocket Login'. Is that the icon I am to login to?

Thanks and best regards, Peter

No, it's this one on the left.

Your ads shouldn't be blocked with a Standard settings of the Protection.

Hi TyDraniu,

I saw the shield icon and turned off but the adverts don't show. Please see attached image. Then I tried setting about:config for extensions.webcompat.enable_shims to set it to false but that didn't work either.

What can I test next?

Thanks and best regards, Peter
