How did you setup Firefox when you installed it?
Such as, are you using a Firefox Account and Sync to retrieve your data that was / is on a different device thru the Sync system?

I am curious as to your expectations as to not finding your Bookmarks on a new Firefox installation on a new device.

Good Morning:

I setup Firefox the same way on my new computer as I did on my old computer.

The only difference is the old computer ran Windows 10 Home Edition while my new computer is running Windows 10 Pro.

I no longer use the old computer. It is just sitting around until I can recycle it.

As I said before, when I click on the book icon at the top of the page then click on bookmarks, then click on show all bookmarks, the dialog box pops up. Some bookmarks are listed on the right side of the dialog box, but on the left side I used to have about 100 folders containing over 500 bookmarks.

Any additional help in retrieving my bookmarks would be greatly appreciated.

How did you transfer the bookmarks from the old computer to the new computer ?

Do you have backups in the bookmarkbackups folder available that could have the missing bookmarks ?

The name of an automatically created JSON bookmarks backup in the bookmarkbackups folder includes a total item count (folders and separators included) and an hash value to prevent saving the same backup more than once.
You also see this count in the Restore menu drop-down list.

  • bookmarks-YYYY-MM-DD_<item count>_<hash>.jsonlz4.
