I own Real Montana Zen, realmontanazen.com, [e-mail removed by mod] and there are images on "Images For Real Montana Zen" that have nothing to do with Real Montana Zen - so, how do I remove/delete unwanted images from "Images For Real Montana Zen" RSBBrown [e-mail removed by mod]

I have no idea where these images are. This is the Firefox support forum. Do you have a Firefox problem?

Thanks again Tyler the images are on "Images For Real Montana Zen", "Images for Real Montana Zen are found with a google search (just as a forinstance) just type in "images for real Montana zen" and that site will pup up on the screen. I have no idea who put the unwanted images on my name site, or how they got there I suspect Firefox has something to do with them. I have been working on removing the unwanted images for about 3 days now. There are individuals and companies that are advertising their products under my name "Real Montana Zen", which is not appropriate.

Hello RSBBrown,

As this is your own website, question is : who put those inappropriate images there in the first place  ?

You (or whoever developed the site) should be able to remove
any image you want gone.

This is not a Firefox issue, but maybe you'd like to follow
these instructions and see if that works.

Or take a look at these search results .....

If the unwanted images are the product of Firefox, where do they come from and how did they get there?

thank you, thank you, Thank you

If you are seeing these images in a Google search, there is nothing you can do to control what shows up in a Google search.

Weebly hosts my site and they don't know anything eather, and google will not respond, so, I just need to know to find at least a starting point

Hi RSBBrown, I think you might see something completely different as a site administrator than we can see as just visitors. For example, if you are looking at an image gallery in your site builder, obviously random people on the internet cannot access that.

Is the same problem present if you view your site in a private window where you are not logged in and you aren't using the cached files and cookies from your regular windows? Or only when you are logged in as the administrator?

Rule Out an Extension Issue

Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.)

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?

This is the same thing that happens if I go into Google images and search my name. https://www.google.com/search?q=%22jefferson+scher%22&tbm=isch&sa=X Four pictures of me, then someone else with a similar name. Then stuff from my websites, photo sharing sites, my firm's website, then weird random stuff starts showing up.

Search engine results are not precise, especially with images where various clues and hints are used for indexing. And perhaps also Google may be more interested in keeping you occupied using their services than getting you out the door with a quick answer. Or from their perspective, helping out people with poor typing skills, poor spelling, and a poor memory to find what they want.

I have no idea who put the unwanted images on my name site, or how they got there I suspect Firefox has something to do with them.

It's all Google. Check your other browsers.
