Is it possible to save Mozilla Thunderbird e-mails on USB - if so, how?

I have a number of e-mails that I want to have saved, if something happens to my computer - so I wonder if I can put them on USB.

individually use file save as.

or drag and drop from the list in Thunderbird.

bulk export can be achieved in a number of formats using the import export tools addon. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/

IF you just want to make you mail portable then portable apps Thunderbird might be a fit. https://portableapps.com/
