I deleted an email that went to Trash. I then emptied the Trash folder. How can I recover the deleted email ?

As long as you haven't compacted a folder, including Trash, you might be able to recover messages with the 'Recover deleted messages' add-on:

To install the add-on, drag the Download link to the xpi file and drop it onto Tools/Add-ons/Extensions in TB.
