I begin in the firefox browser. I click on bookmarks. I click on the xfinity home page and access my emails. I click on the email symbol. I access the email site. I read my emails. I close the site. I then click on sign out. There is a message from firefox which says that firefox will not allow the page to reload. I click on allow. The page goes black and then comes right back. I x out of the message and still can not sign out of the xfinity site.

See:

  • "3-bar" menu button -> Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> General
    Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"

The setting in "Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
