Due to limited data, I need to disable autorun on my videos. How do I do this?
How do I change my settings to prevent videos from downloading or playing automatically? I have 30 GB of monthly data that gets used up every month, and I noticed that videos start downloading and playing all by themselves. My internet provider (Verizon) tells me it's my fault, so I try to limit what I do online. I went from using less than 5 GB per month to using 30 GB and I have cut way back on my Internet usage. I am trying to turn off everything that runs automatically. I normally watch maybe 1 hr of video per month on average...usually in 1-5 minute snippets. I have stopped playing games online (which I used to do nightly for hours and hours.) I have turned off almost all auto-updates. I don't do a lot of emailing anymore. I read some news headlines and check in on Facebook, but don't participate much. Am I forgetting other data sources? I can't afford to increase my monthly data anymore. If I can't find what is using all of my data, I may have to stop using the Internet for everything except emails.

Flash block {web link} Never be annoyed by a Flash animation again! Blocks Flash so it won't get in your way, but if you want to see it, just click on it
Many programs 'Phone Home' for updates. Including Firefox and its add-ons. You should set those programs to not check for updates. BUT do a manual check once a month.
