Can someone go to this site (Tripadvisor) and tell me their experience?

This is the only site that's giving me frustration and headaches:

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g45963-Las_Vegas_Nevada-Hotels.html

I sent them this email, self-explanatory:

"Make your site useable! How about this for a "feature"?! 2 tabs of tripadvisor.com = 1 GB of memory + >50% of CPU. I see the pages are connecting and connecting...what are you downloading?! My browser (Firefox 38) freezes every 5 seconds. I had to kill the process. You get 10 for content (all of which is user-provided) and 0 for delivery (which you provide)."

Please report your CPU usage and memory hogging experience. Thank you

I forgot to mention, the only extensions I'm using are pdf/print, Translator, Download Flash and Adblock Lite (which is enabled)...could the last one be a culprit?

Separate Issue; Your System Details shows;

Installed Plug-ins

Shockwave Flash 13.0 r0

Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Version 20.0.0.286
https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
Note: Windows users should download the ‘’’active_x’’’ for “Internet Explorer,” and the ‘’’plugin’’’ for “Plugin-based browsers” (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the ’’’plugin’’’ only. Not the ’’’active_x’’’.

See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

Thanks Fred.

A couple of things though. I remember researching this topic a long time ago and the consensus was that one should NOT update important drivers (the graphics driver being one of them of course), unless absolutely necessary....or face the possibility of an inoperable computer.

The other question is, what is the verdict on hardware acceleration, especially on older systems like mine? I currently have it switched on.

If your system works with hardware turned on, great. Many others had turned it off because of problems.

Hi Fred, I was going to ask a completely unrelated question, but I cannot log in to Mozilla support, coming from the Help menu. The top of the screen is missing my name or the log in button.

I am attaching a screenshot.

If this is indeed a known issue, it means no one can ask a new question here.
