Can not enter a key after right click on tab then bookmark this tab
Prior to upgrading Firefox to 40.0.2, I was able to right click a tab then "Bookmark This Tab". I used this quite frequently. A popup would allow me to enter a tag or key for the bookmark. Now, the field allowing a "Key" entry is no longer there. Can anyone explain this?

I'm not sure why I don't have Bookmark This Tab on the right-click context menu for a tab. ??
For me, in order to enter/edit Keyword or Description, I need to use one of these methods:
- Properties dialog: right-click a bookmark I already saved, then Properties
- Library dialog: Ctrl+Shift+b or "Show All Bookmarks", then after selecting a bookmark on the right side, click the More button at the bottom to show all fields
The bookmark options are down at the bottom of the right click context menu. "Bookmark This Tab" and "Bookmark All Tabs" are optional selections in the Tab Mix Plus add-on. A lot easier to use than what you describe.
I'm not sure what dialog Tab Mix Plus is calling. Sounds like it could be the same as Ctrl+d (Bookmark This Page on the classic Bookmarks menu).
I've posted a question in the Tab Mix Plus forum regarding this problem I have.
Admin there told me it was a Firefox issue. Post problem here.

It's hard for us. This blog post lists changes in Firefox 40 believed to affect add-ons: https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2015/.../compatibility-for-firefox-40/. I don't know how to get from there to the answer, I think the people who maintain TMP would be in the best position to figure that out. Or are they saying they cannot replicate the problem that you're encountering?

Wow! I am bewildered. I agree with you and I did check out the link you included. No, I have not gotten any comments indicating what I describe can not be replicated. Is there a way to specify what version of Firefox the viewer is concerned with?
My bewilderment is caused to something changing with having a tab selected and entering ctrl+shift+d. Now I get a blank popup that dose include a "Keyword:" field. Yesterday, it gave me the same popup that a right click gives me which only solicit the "Tags:" field. I'd like to attach a screen capture of the two to demonstrate what I see, but I have only used the Windows 7 Sniping Tool which I can't get to work on the popups. Any recommendations?

Hi IronYooper, I create screen shots the old fashioned way, pressing the PrintScreen key on the keyboard then pasting into the Paint program and editing from there. It doesn't show the mouse pointer, but in most cases, it's good enough.
