However it is very slow (about 4 minutes) in starting up after I click the icon on my Desktop window. Can I reduce the start-up time?

Many thanks for your prompt response, but I use AVG rather than McAffee anti virus software, so cannot open your suggested file!
Is this an IMAP mail account?
Is it a gmail mail account?
Do you synchronize all folders?
