I have rogue websites associated with specific words on legal websites
When I view a website in Firefox (version 17 although I didn't ask to have it over 16) certain words are underlined and have a clickthrough associated with them. I don't want this clickthrough, but can't get rid of it.
These clickthroughs do not appear in Internet Explorer or Chrome, so I believe that it is a problem with Firefox. It has happened in the past couple of days.

That sounds like Textsrv. I would check for malware. It could be a toolbar that you installed, or some other extension linked to some other site.

I tried those with no success, other than to remove the cookies from third parties, which apparently I need for this forum.
I removed three add-ins and that cured the problem. I can't remember setting up the add-ins anyway, and they don't seem to affect the operation of Firefox. They were: Google Lite 4.9.3 Google Docs Viewer 1.8.5 Yontoo 1.20.00
