I have upgraded to the latest version but Firefox still says I do not have the latest update

upgrade your browser to Firefox 8.0.1 and try
I upgraded but it still appears sorry
You may indeed be using the latest Firefox 8.0.1, just that the particular Google page may be incorrectly giving you the message that you are using a older version and need to update. For example the old Firefox default homepage http://www.google.com/firefox hosted by Google gives this message.
Thanks but I am using Google.co.uk . Tried google .com to no avail any help would be greatly appreciated
