Using Tbird ver. 91.5.1 and Cardbook for my contacts. I edited a contact to add an additional phone number. Cardbook updates my Google account contacts which in turn updates my cell phone contacts. After making the edit I have been getting a pop-up window, from time to time, asking for this specific contact, if I would like to resolve a discrepancy using the local contact info, the remote contact info or to merge the two. As far as I can tell both the local and remote contact details are identical. The first time this message popped up I selected use the local contact details, the second time I said remote and the third time use merge. The pop up still returns. Based on a previous occasion the work-around is to delete the contact and start fresh but I'm wondering if there is some solution to fix this issue w/o deleting a contact.

Matt,

Thanks for your response. I found the solution (myself) as follows: Open Cardbook>Preferences>Sync. The default selection for contact modification conflicts is "Ask the user". I changed this setting to "Prefer the local modification" and the pop-up window has not reappeared.
